Everyone deserves to have a safe place to share their inner most private experiences. Anuschka (she/hers) supports clients as they overcome challenges, develop strengths and skills, and move forward in their lives. With a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria, she has developed an integrative and trauma informed approach to counselling. She guides her clients to achieve clarity, adopt practical tools and techniques, and build a solid foundation in order to create a fulfilling life. Anuschka creates a welcoming environment that is compassionate, respectful and supportive to achieve the best results for her clients.
Anuschka is passionate about community service and both personal and professional self-development. She has over 8 years of combined experience counselling individuals, facilitating group therapy sessions, and developing mental health programs for the community. To support clients’ and their diverse needs, she integrates a variety of theoretical backgrounds, such as Mindfulness Based Therapies, Brief Strategic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. With clinical experience in the fields of mental health, substance abuse and trauma, Anuschka is skilled in working with people across the lifespan and from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultural contexts.
Outside of Peak-Resilience, Anuschka works at Douglas College as a Clinical Counsellor in Student Affairs and Services. Additionally, she is a co-founder of the YMCA Mindfulness Groups, an innovative set of programs that supports teens and young adults who experience anxiety, across BC.
