Who knew? Dark chocolate is helpful in reducing anxiety, stress and elevating mood.

You MUST Eat Chocolate. For Your Mental Health.
This article is for the chocolate lovers out there... There are no excuses anymore. You MUST eat chocolate every day for your physical and mental health. But not just any chocolate... Dark chocolate is helpful in reducing anxiety, stress and elevating mood when taken over three days or more, as shown by multiple studies, including this one.

Keep in mind, these studies usually measure mood and anxiety levels after participants eat a few pieces of quality dark chocolate per day, not whole chocolate bars or chocolate cake (which people are more likely to do if they're struggling with anxiety or depression). So, the answer: Eat a few pieces of dark chocolate a day like it's your medicine. Even better: Eating dark chocolate as a mindfulness practice.

We found a unique dark chocolate bar that fulfills so many criteria: raw, organic, extremely high quality and sweetened with just a bit of coconut sugar, which is lower on the glycemic index that regular sugar and has more vitamins and minerals (but all sugars should be eaten sparingly to maintain mental health).

The chocolate is Zimt, and it's sold in various retailers (including Whole Foods) in Vancouver. Bonus: The owner Emma is an inspiring woman from Vancouver who takes pride in her product and was very happy to provide her bars for our Anxiety Explained program gift bags! Just one more reason to attend our program.

SOOOO good
