Compassionate & Strategic Counselling for Real-Life Challenges

Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or unsure of your next step. Perhaps you’re navigating anxiety or depression, relationship challenges, ADHD, career stress, family conflict, or a major life transition. You may be juggling competing responsibilities, struggling to slow down, people-pleasing at the expense of your own needs, or feeling disconnected from yourself or experiencing self-doubt.

Hi, I’m Erika, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) based in Vancouver, BC. I offer counselling that is grounded, warm, practical, and collaborative.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent more than twelve years working in high-pressure corporate environments, including the construction and gaming industries. I understand the mental and emotional toll of demanding workplaces, shifting identities, caregiving responsibilities, and the pressure to hold everything together while struggling internally.

I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, life transitions, neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism), relationship challenges, family dynamics and parenting, grief, self-esteem concerns, and emotional regulation difficulties. My approach is trauma-informed (CPTSD), strengths-based, and affirming of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures.

I work to create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

Counselling for ADHD, Burnout, Life Transitions, and Relationships

Many of the clients I work with are navigating periods of significant change or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of modern life.

I have particular experience supporting:

  • Adults exploring or living with ADHD, autism, or AuDHD
  • University students and young adults navigating quarter-life challenges, connecting them to their authentic self and values to make their next move or find direction
  • Professionals experiencing workplace stress, burnout, career transitions, or leadership pressures
  • Men seeking support with relationships, communication, identity, and emotional well-being
  • Individuals navigating family conflict, complicated family relationships, or shifting family roles such as becoming a new parent

Whether you’re questioning your career path, struggling to maintain work-life balance, feeling stuck in relationship patterns, or trying to better understand how your brain works and how to fit within society, counselling can help you make sense of your experiences and develop practical strategies for moving forward.

I also support clients navigating reproductive mental health concerns, including fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, miscarriage, and identity shifts related to parenthood.

An Approach That Honours Both Vulnerability and Strength

Counselling with me is a collaborative process rooted in trust, safety, and authenticity. I believe that healing and growth happen in relationships where people feel deeply seen and heard. The client is the expert in their own life and through this process, I want to empower you to find your truth.

Whether you’re carrying a quiet grief, feeling constantly overwhelmed, struggling to set boundaries, or simply exhausted from holding it all together, I offer support that meets you where you are while helping you build the tools, insight, and self-understanding needed to create meaningful change.

Outside of counselling, I’m a mother of three, an explorer of new experiences and special-interest hobbies like salsa dancing, skiing, and learning about new cultures : ). I bring myself into this work fully and have been lucky to see people change, heal, and grow through this wonderful work.

I Look Forward to Meeting You

I offer individual counselling services at a rate of $178 per 50-minute session, $268 per 75-minute session, or $356 per 100-minute session.

Sessions may be billable through your extended health insurance depending on your provider and plan, so it can be helpful to check with your insurer about your specific coverage for counselling or psychotherapy services.

If you’d like to explore working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help us get to know each other and see if it feels like the right fit. Limited sliding-scale options may be available if cost is a concern.

It depends on what you want. Most clients fall into one of three categories:

  1. One (or two) and done – I just want some advice to move forward on a problem. Cool, just let me know that so I can make sure the session will be focused.
  2. Acute issue – I need some support to resolve an issue, but I don’t want to be in counselling forever. This usually takes 8-12 sessions but could be shorter or longer based on your needs (time, financial, issue complexity). We create the ideal structure together.
  3. Long-term therapeutic relationship – I need a safe space to process life events. Sessions are often booked up to a year in advance so you can count on the structure and support. The topic often changes session to session, but relates back to an overarching theme of self-development, relationship management, or something of that nature.

I can’t tell you which issues fall into which bucket, or guarantee results, because each client is unique. It’s best to let me know which category you think you might fall into, we can check and adjust as needed.
