Jennifer is the Founder and Clinical Director of Peak Resilience and has over seventeen years of combined counselling experience and education. Over the years, she discovered she felt most passionate when working with women who are motivated to live their best lives. Jennifer founded Peak Resilience with the desire to create a community focusing on the strengths of clients, as well as counsellors. She aims to provide a supportive, respectful and open atmosphere, which promotes motivation and the exploration of change. Jennifer provides consultation, support and supervision to the team at Peak Resilience and can't believe how lucky she is to be surrounded by such strong, compassionate, and authentic women.

Jennifer brings an integrative approach to counselling, and tailors the theoretical approach to the needs of each client. Her interest lies in how clients have changed and been resilient in the past, and what motivates them to be resilient and inspired in the present. Jennifer's theoretical approaches include Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). She helps women increase their understanding of the underlying causes of their presenting issue, by exploring family and personal histories, previous coping strategies, and current support systems.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, Jennifer is dedicated to provide the highest standard of professional counselling. Our services are often covered by extended medical plans (check with your provider). Jennifer's designation as a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association further supports her commitment to provide ethical, effective service.
